Your responsibilitiesÂ
Team Supervision and Leadership
Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and guidance to the team of Automation Engineers and the PI AdministratorÂ
Set clear performance expectations, goals, and objectives for the team membersÂ
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and knowledge sharingÂ
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team membersÂ
Handover of SCADA/PLC/PI Functionalities:Â
Coordinate with the Engineering team to facilitate the smooth handover of SCADA/PLC/PI functionalities to the Automation teamÂ
Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer of system functionalities, configurations, and maintenance proceduresÂ
Collaborate with the Automation Engineers to fully understand the system architecture and requirementsÂ
System Management and Optimization:Â
Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of automation systems, including SCADA, PLCs, and OSIsoft PIÂ
Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal functionality and reliabilityÂ
Collaborate with Automation Engineers to develop and implement best practices for system configuration, monitoring, and troubleshootingÂ
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automation technology to drive continuous improvementÂ

Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Operations, Engineering, and IT, to align automation initiatives with organizational goalsÂ
Act as a liaison between the Automation team and other departments to ensure effective communication and collaborationÂ
Participate in meetings and provide technical expertise and insights regarding automation systemsÂ

Our requirements
Engineering Academic degree (Automation or Electrical) or other related discipline preferredÂ
Automation System Implementation: Hands-on experience in implementing automation systems, including SCADA, PLC, and HMI. This includes designing, programming, and configuring automation systems to meet specific operational requirementsÂ
Team Leadership and Supervision: Proven experience in leading and managing a team of automation engineers and administrators. This includes assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative work environmentÂ
System Integration and Optimization: Expertise in integrating various automation systems, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange between different components. Experience in optimizing automation processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and productivityÂ
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues related to automation systems, such as identifying software or hardware malfunctions, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. Experience in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal system performanceÂ
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific industry or sector in which the automation systems are implemented. Understanding industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices is valuable for effectively managing and optimizing automation processesÂ
Practical knowledge of data systems and computer engineeringÂ
Strong knowledge and experience in SCADA, PLC, and automation systemsÂ
Proficiency in OSIsoft PI system administration and data managementÂ
Familiarity with industry standards and protocols related to automation, such as OPC, Modbus, and Ethernet/IPÂ
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices in automation systemsÂ
Thorough knowledge of the service-specific software and / or hardware and knows the programming optionsÂ
Knows the applicable safety, quality and environmental regulationsÂ
Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesÂ
Organizational skills and the ability to meet conflicting deadlinesÂ
Communication with internal and external stakeholders and relationship buildingÂ
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience, preferably in an automation or engineering related fieldÂ
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and manage resourcesÂ
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and maintain positive working relationshipsÂ
